Question: Why do my colors look different in Windows when I load the Close-Up Host program?

Answer: When the Close-Up host program is loaded in Windows, the Close-Up Host video driver replaces the existing video driver for that Windows session. The video drivers that Close-Up use are capable of only 16 colors at VGA(640x480) or SuperVGA(800x600) video resolution because of the lack of a standard video driver, which can support a higher colors depth. The Close-Up Host video driver is used only when the Close-Up Host program is running. When the program is removed from memory, the original video driver is restored along with the original resolution and color depth.
