D-Link™ Router One incoming iClose-Up connection
To have one iClose-Up Server behind the Router you must forward
the port 2338 (this is the port iClose-Up uses) to the IP address of the iClose-Up
computer you want to be able to receive incoming connections (the iClose-Up
Server). To do this…
1.
Open your web browser (on a PC behind your router) and enter
the address 192.168.0.1 and press Enter.
2.
Enter the router Administrator Password to change
settings.
3.
Select the Advanced link at the bottom of the screen.
4.
On the first line enter the port number 2338.
5.
On the same line enter the last part of the IP address for
the iClose-Up computer you want to be able to receive incoming iClose-Up
connections. Go to the iClose-Up
computer that you want to be able to receive incoming connections and find and
write down the IP address. If you do
not know how to find an IP address of a computer see How to Find IP Addresses. If for example the four part IP address on
the iClose-Up computer turns out to be 192.168.0.2 then you would enter
the last part of the IP address which is 2. Therefore in our example port 2338 will be associated with
IP address 192.168.0.2. Now
check the box on this line in the column marked Enable.
6.
Select the Save button then the Reboot button
and close the web browser.
We must now make the final setting adjustment to iClose-Up to allow use
of the router.
1. On the iClose-Up machine using the router double click on the red iClose-Up triangles in the lower right of the screen.
2.
Click the Options button.
3.
Click the Proxy tab.
4.
Check the box on the line ‘Internet Connection
Sharing/Proxy Servers/ Routers’.
5.
Click the OK button then restart the computer. You are done.
