Getting
Started Scripts the Server Side:
When you run a Script the iClose-Up
Server side needs to be ready. Read
below on how to set up your iClose-Up Server side on either an Internet
connection or a Modem to Modem connection.

Internet iClose-Up Server
side:
On the computer
you decide will be the iClose-Up Server you will need to get connected to the Internet. If you have a Constant
Connection (DSL, Cable Modem, T1 etc.) to the
Internet you do not have do anything, your iClose-Up Server will be available
to your iClose-Up Clients.
If you have a
dial-up connection to the Internet through your ISP then you should dial onto
the Internet using iClose-Up. You can
do this by bringing up the iClose-Up List by Double clicking on the red iClose-Up triangles in the lower right of the screen, then click your ISP’s entry in the iClose-Up List then click again on Connect to Entry to get on the Internet. You can then close the iClose-Up List. Your iClose-Up Server will now be available
to your iClose-Up Clients.
Schedule
Your Server Side Dial-Up Connection To the Internet: You can schedule your
connection to the Internet. Which means
that you can tell iClose-Up to connect to the Internet at say eight at night
and stay connected for five hours. To
schedule your connection bring up the iClose-Up List by Double clicking on the red iClose-Up
triangles in the lower
right of the screen, then click your ISP’s entry in the
iClose-Up List then click again on Schedule
this Connection.
Next decide if you want to have iClose-Up to connect at recurring times
say every weekday at seven PM for three hours, then pick “Recurring by
Day”. If you want to connect at a
specific day and time pick “At a Specific Time & Date”.
Schedule
Your Server Side Constant Connection To the Internet: If you have a Constant Connection (DSL, Cable Modem, T1 etc.) to
the Internet you can schedule when you are Visible on the Internet so that
iClose-Up Client computers can see you as “Available” and can connect to you. Right click on the red iClose-Up triangles in the lower right of the screen, and then select Schedule an iClose-Up Event. Then select visibility & Access on the Internet for Constant Internet connections.

Modem to Modem iClose-Up
Server side:
On the
computer that you decide will be the iClose-Up
Server you will need to set the modem to answer incoming
calls:
a) On Windows 95/98/Me computers, Single Click the Right mouse button with your pointer on the red iClose-Up triangles in the lower right
of your screen, then select and click on Allow
Modem Connections to this Computer. Now select Allow
clients to call this computer.
The iClose-Up Server side is ready to go!
b) On Windows NT/2000/XP computers, Single Click the Right mouse button with your pointer on the red iClose-Up triangles in the lower
right of your screen, then select and click on Allow
Modem Connections to this Computer. Now select the Server pull down menu and click on Start RAS Server.
The iClose-Up Server side is ready to go!
