Using iClose-Up from behind a router without incoming connections:

The computers that are using the router to access the Internet are protected from any connections being made to them.  The instructions on this page are for setting up your iClose-Up machine and network for outbound connections only.  If you would like to allow other machines to connect inbound to your machine that is using a router to access the Internet please click here to be directed to instructions on network and router setup.  Otherwise, if you are using iClose-Up to connect outgoing only to other computers on the Internet from behind a router, there is no special configuration for the router needed.  You will need to make one adjustment in the iClose-Up settings of the machine that is using the router.  To do this…

1.      On the iClose-Up machine using the router double click on the red iClose-Up triangles in the lower right of the screen.

2.      Click the Options button.

3.      Click the Proxy tab.

4.      Check the box on the line ‘Internet Connection Sharing/Proxy Servers/ Routers’.

5.      Click the OK button then restart your computer.

You can now use iClose-Up to connect on outbound connections only.
