Night images start at  (default is 12:00 PM):  There are image screens in iClose-Up with day and night scenes.  This option adjusts when the day scene will change to a night scene.

Check Incoming Connections every  (default is 35 seconds):  This option adjusts how often iClose-Up looks to see if anyone is connected through iClose-Up to your computer.  iClose-Up logs these connections in the “Incoming Connection Logs” which can be accessed by right clicking on the red iClose-Up triangles in the lower right of your screen.  Select “View iClose-Up Logs” then select “View Incoming Connection Logs”.  Log files are kept by month.  Another way to see who is connected to you, right now, is to right click on the red iClose-Up triangles in the lower right of your screen then select “List Users Connected to this System”.

Setting this value lower is not really necessary as it wastes your computers time in checking often, if however you want to keep track of incoming connections closely, set this value lower.  Setting this value higher would allow someone to connect and disconnected without being detected and logged.  As a security precaution while someone is connected the Incoming Connection Log cannot be modified which protects this Log from being modified or tampered with by an iClose-Up connected user, even if this user is remotely controlling your computer.  Also see “Enable Incoming Connection Log” below as well as “Keep the List of Connected Users to this System on Top of all Windows” in the “View” Tab in this options section.

Close iClose-Up Main Screen when running a function  (unchecked by default):  If you use the iClose-Up main screen (vs. just using the iClose-Up List) to run different iClose-Up functions, and this option is selected, then when you press one of the eight large buttons in the iClose-Up Main Screen the iClose-Up Main Screen will disappear (close).

Log Scheduled Events  (checked by default):  If checked each time the iClose-Up Scheduler is used it will create a log in the “Scheduler Log” folder.  You can get to this folder by going to the “Program Files” folder, then go to the “iClose-Up folder”, then go to the “Log Files” folder.

Use colors in the script file creator  (checked by default):  This option puts color on some of the commands in the Script File creator (wizard) to make it easier to read.

Use iClose-Up when creating phonebook entries (unchecked by default):  If checked when you go into Dial-Up Networking (DUN) and create a phone book entry DUN will use the iClose-Up Phone Book creator instead of it’s own.

Use iClose-Up when connecting with DUN (unchecked by default):  If checked when you go into Dial-Up Networking (DUN) and dial one of the entries DUN will use the iClose-Up Dialer instead of it’s own.

Enable Trace Log  (checked by default):  If checked iClose-Up keeps a log of diagnostic information on your computer as well as all error conditions iClose-Up encounters called a Trace log.  There is a separate Trace log created for every day iClose-Up is used.  iClose-Up automatically deletes any Trace logs older then thirty days.  If you encounter any problems you can send Norton-Lambert the Trace log by right clicking on the red triangles in the lower right hand corner of your screen.  Then select Send Support Email and describe your problem and tell us the time of day your problem occurred.  Then select the day you had the problem so we can attach the Trace log to the Email that gets sent to Norton-Lambert.

Enable Incoming Connection Log  (checked by default):  If checked iClose-Up keeps a log of all incoming iClose-Up connections.  This allows you to keep track of who connected, when they connected and how long they were connected.  A new Incoming Connection Log is created every month.  When someone is connected the Incoming Connection Log for that month is locked open, preventing someone from altering or tampering with the log even during a remote control session.  You can view the log by right clicking on the red triangles in the lower right hand corner of your screen.  Then select View iClose-Up Logs then select View Incoming Connection Logs.
