On Modem Connection:  When your iClose-Up Client connects to an iClose-Up Server through an Modem to Modem connection the below options will come up on your screen only if the option below Prompt User for Connect Options is not checked.

Run Remote Control  (checked by default):  If checked, when your iClose-Up Client connects to an iClose-Up Server through a Modem to Modem connection the Remote Control window will come up and you will be controlling the iClose-Up Server.  Microsoft NetMeeting version 3.01 or higher must be installed on both sides.

Run Client Explorer  (checked by default):  If checked, when your iClose-Up Client connects to an iClose-Up Server through a Modem to Modem connection the Client side Explorer will come up with the hi-light positioned on My Computer.  Double click on My Computer and find your File or Folder.

Run Chat on Connection:  If checked, when your iClose-Up Client connects to an iClose-Up Server through a Modem to Modem connection the Chat window will come up and you will be able to Chat with the user at the Server side.

Prompt User for Connect Options (checked by default):  When the iClose-Up Client connects to a Server by modem, Internet or network you will see the “Connect Options” screen giving you the choice of doing one or more of, File Transfers, Remote Control or Chatting.  If unchecked when the iClose-Up Client connects to a Server what comes up on your screen depends on what is checked above, from the four options;  “Run Remote Control”  “Run Client Explorer”  “Run Server Explorer”  “Run Chat on Connection”.

You are given the option of two types of file transfer, “iClose-Up Quick File Transfer…” or “iClose-Up Explorer File Transfer…”.  The Quick File Transfer method allows you to transfer a single Folder, or, one or more Files by specifying a Source and Destination.  You can specify the Source and Destination by browsing (suggested for most users), or by hand typing the path.  The Explorer File Transfer method has one or two Explores that come up on your screen.  There will be only one Explorer if you checked only one of “Run Client Explorer” or “Run Server Explorer” from the options above.  There will be two Explorers if you checked both “Run Client Explorer” and “Run Server Explorer” from the options above.  The Explorer method allows you to transfer one or more Folders, or, one or more Files by either the Copy & Paste or Drag & Drop technique  (suggested for advanced Windows users).

Adjust Explorer View for Connecting to:

Stand-Alone PC (the default):  When you use any of the options above that bring up the Server Explorer, the Server side Explorer will come up with the hi-light positioned on your iClose-Up name for the computer you are connecting to.  Use this option when you are connecting to PC’s that are not on a network, that is they are “Stand Alone”.

Network PC:  When you use any of the options above that bring up the Server Explorer, the Server side Explorer will come up with the hi-light positioned through the “Microsoft Windows Network” showing all Groups and Domains and will be positioned on the computer you are connecting to.  This option is like the one above “Stand-Alone PC” except that it is nice to use this option when you are always connecting PC’s that are on a network.  If you connect to a PC that is not on a network you will get an error when iClose-Up tries to expand the network that is not there.  The error will not cause any problems just click through it..

Automatically Redial lost connections:

ISP Connections (the default):  When you use the iClose-Up Dialer to connect to an ISP if the connection gets dropped (you get disconnected) then iClose-Up will automatically redial and connect back to the ISP.  If you are connected by modem to another modem that is not at an ISP’s site and you get disconnected then iClose-Up will not redial the connection.

All Modem Connections:  When you use the iClose-Up Dialer to connect to an ISP or modem to modem to another computer and the connection gets dropped (you get disconnected) then iClose-Up will automatically redial and connect back.

Disabled:  If disabled then if iClose-Up Dialer connects you, and your connection gets dropped (you get disconnected) then iClose-Up will not redial automatically.
