iClose-Up Proxy software is not a replacement for Microsoft Windows Proxy Software or any other brand of Windows Proxy Software.  

iClose-Up Proxy software is designed to go on the computer that is running either Windows Proxy software or Microsoft Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) software.  

iClose-Up Proxy software allows iClose-Up Clients from outside your company to connect in through your server that is running either Windows Proxy software or Microsoft Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) software, and get to iClose-Up computers on your network. 

You do not have to use iClose-Up Proxy software to go through either a Windows Proxy or Microsoft Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) computer, but it makes configuration a lot easier if you are not extremely technical.  The iClose-Up Proxy software is used in lieu of manually configuring your Windows Proxy or Microsoft Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) computer.
